Today is February 1st, 2024, and this article serves as a real-time example of how God can use ANYONE for His Purpose.
I was just sliding into TikTok “real-quick” to “check things out” and a young lady came across my FYP (for the older folk of my generation or non-TikTok users, that’s the “For You Page”, where TikTok places content it thinks you want to see).
So the video is this young lady walking down the street, vlogging, when she was asked by a gentleman if she could buy him some hot tea.
This is where you are immediately fuzzy in the heartspace.
She responds: “Some tea? I’m walking to Trader Joe’s, you wanna walk with me? And we can stop by Starbucks or sum.”
@hustlanani Please help me help him !

She introduces him to the vlog and they start walking. The next shot is them making their way through CVS to the back where the pharmacy is.
As they’re walking she tells us that they stopped to get his prescription filled because he’s in pain.
The next cut she gives us the update: “So he just got his insurance but it takes 45 days to become active so I’m just gonna pay for it” [his medicine].
It’s at this time that I realize “I’m heavily invested in this. What type of medicine does Unc need?“
So now we’re at Starbucks (yes, “we”, because this is “our” uncle too now), and Nai has her head poked out of the door to ask Unc what size green tea he’d like.
She brings it to him, administering the same gentle and affectionate care she’s exemplified in both her words and her actions since the second he came into her consciousness.
Nai comes back on camera, letting us know that we’re on the way to another CVS to get the medicine, but that she has instructed Unc to stay there since he’s in pain and that she’ll be right back with his medicine.
She comes back on camera with an update from CVS, where she’s waiting for the prescription.
Good news! The pharmacist has generously issued a “heavy discount” on Unc’s medicine, which y’all know is a blessing with the way the cost of medicines are set up in this country! I digress.
Success! We got Unc’s pain medicine and now we’re walking with them to a boutique hotel that this Angel of the Armor of God has rented this man (our new favorite uncle) a room at.
By the end, Nai has given him some money so he can get something to eat, made sure he has her number so she can keep checking on him, and let him know that check-out is 11.
You can just tell this pure spirit comes from a tree ripe with the very fruit we hear of in the Bible.
They’re both on camera now, a “debrief” if you will.
Nai asks Unc what type of cancer he has, to which he responds “prostate”.
According to ZeroCancer.org, 1 in 6 Black men will develop prostate cancer in their lifetime, compared with 1 in 8 overall.
She then goes on to praise him for extending kindness to her in his ask for assistance, noting that he only wanted tea, and how that impacted her so deeply that she felt she had to do more for him.
She then ends her day with Unc by asking TikTok to help her help Unc.
She picks it back up at home, where she lets us know that she hasn’t eaten yet that day (a God-given fast), she was so preoccupied with helping Unc get all of the things that he needed (PURPOSE was enough to sustain her), and that she has started a GoFundMe to help Unc out, and asking for the support of anyone the video may find.
Y’all have to watch the video.
Straight waterworks.
All wholesomeness.
It’s right up there.
And if you feel compelled to give, here’s Unc’s GoFundMe:
Another real-time example of the Power of God, and the evidence that God can use anyone.
At any time.
I’ll keep you updated here.
God is SO GOOD.
